Found and Redone

Finally found my skulls assignment from Life Drawing, so I figure now's as good a time as any to post it.

Oh and just for kicks, I'll post the re-done version of my gestures assignment. Got better gestures - put em on the assignment. Sounds like the best idea to me.

T - 4

Final week of first semester of animation is coming to a head, and things are getting pretty busy. Figured I'd take some time though and post my final animation for first semester. The character-boat-wave animation. Learning secondary actions was QUITE a process, but I'm pretty happy with how it finally came out.

Some more stuff that I worked on for the Drawing Jam

We had to draw ourselves as pokemon, so despite the bad scan job, and discolouration - here 'tis! A good ol' Cubone Decepticon skull/hat and bone pencil suits me fine.

Another pic I did for the jam was Dexter in the style of Dexter. Came out pretty damn good I think.

I "figure"d seeing as how I put up the rest of my Life Drawing assignments,  I might as well post this one too. Gestures for the masses!!

And some that move...

So I figure that I should probably post some of the animations that I've done so far. Some good, some not so great. But all mine none the less.

First comes, well, the first animation that I had to do - The Pendulum!

Next is the Dog Tail wag animation. Gotta learn to wag before you can... Nope. Tried to make a run before you can walk comparison, but I got nothin'. Enjoy.

Ah, the Leaf Drop. Figuring out this path of action was a fun time. Time to stare at some trees.

And most recently, we have the Head Turnaround... I had to fix this one up post filming in Flipbook to get rid of the "chewing" effect that my head had. Worked out pretty decent after that. Cheers!

Drawing Jams and Seven

I really need to start posting to this thing more often... And regularly. Either way, here's some recent stuff I've been working on and all that business.

First, I decided to convert Seven the Cat into a cartoon... He still retains his jerk-like attitude, so I'd say it's a moderate success, other than the marker bleed on his face.

Drawing Jam for Conan the Barbarian. I really like how it came out, actually. Had a lot of fun with it, and really getting into using markers, and the use of lack of colour.

Another drawing Jam, this time for Lady Gaga and Cindi Lauper. It STILL makes me laugh every time I look at it. Props to Grant for the great idea for Cindi Lauper

A project that I did for character design - a Knight. Man, I gotta get better at my character design, but I'm having fun in the process, so its' all worth it.

Finally, this was my fourth assignment for my Life Drawing. Bones of the entire body. Let me just set the record straight - Ribcages are the worst kinda things to figure out in perspective. Otherwise, pretty happy with how it came out.
